It is with sad regret to announce that Amy Winehouse has died, no reports as to what she passed with but as most people know she had a chequered past with drugs and drink. At 27 no age at all, live ur life to the max people as u never know whats around the corner - One of my favorite sayings - Make each day count xx

Silly girl. All that talent. She's no different to the druggies who live on my estate, except that they can't afford numerous stays in rehab or private counselling. Any death is of course a sad thing, but I'd rather reserve my sympathy for the young people shot down in Norway.

I can see your point of view, but addiction is an evil thing that can take hold of anyone.
Aren't we all here at this forum due to an addiction of sorts - food? And without help, it too could kill any one of us.
I appreciate that she could afford the best rehab and doctors in the world, but you know yourself that until you can recognise and acknowledge that you need help, money is irrelevant.

I know what you mean but food is something that we all have to have and which is good for you in moderation. Nobody grows up thinking that heroin is nice. And I didn't like the way she milked the cool druggie image.

I agree, but an addictive personality is exactly that. Look at people who have WLS and then transfer the addiction to drink or other things.
I just think we're all sometimes a bit quick to judge or dismiss people for their weaknesses. Hopefully, she'll find her peace now.

i was lucky enough to have my 3 kids with me when i heard this sad sad news,loved her music ,style at the strat of her career and i must admit i shed a tear for her yesterday,addiction is a terrible thing and can affect any one at anytime ,,i looked at my 3 grown kids yesterday and thought ,there by the grace of god,,,,,,,,thoughts of course with her family and true friends , and less so with the people who were taking their wages for looking after her interests ,poor poor girl, i hope they sleep less easy each time they withdraw from their banks ,i know addictions are hard to deal with for people around the addicted person,you cant blame yourself for your loved ones choices,but someone was making"career" decisions for her prior to her death,which at the best were bad ,and at the worse the reason for her demise, rest in peace love ,lets hope you have some real release from the pain with the angels looking after you xxxsleep tight

im sorry this is gonna sound harsh but i dont feel for amy she was like someone else said on here a druggie like all the others on thousands of estates over the country do people have sympathy with them no they dont they think of people like that as scum she had millions in the bank so could afford everything she wanted what would happen if she didnt have money would she steal etc now dont get me wrong any death is sad and she did have talent but seeing those pictures of those poor people in norway is truly devastating would they have given everthing for another go at life some not even old enough to know what life is really about can i say the same about amy winehouse no sorry i cant if she had another chance it would end the same again someone said to me at work 2day she was a addict like my self mine is food yes i agree with that but i have sorted mine out because i knew in the end it would kill me so are me and amy the same eh HELL NO i dont mean to cause any offence to anyone who thought she was amazing just gets under my skin when really we sould be mourning the lost ones of norway

No one persons death is any more important than anothers, at least not to to the people left behind, regardless of the way they leave this world.
I just hope all the people calling ANYONE 'just another junkie' never, ever have to watch a loved one die a slow and painful death due to an addiction of any sorts.
With the weight some of us have carried at times, anyone of us could have just easily been discovered 'beyond help'.
