Thousands of children die of hunger each and every day. It's all relative!

an addiction is an addiction regardless of fame, wealth, sex, or what ever the addiction is ( Food, Sex, Drugs,Drink, Tobacco etc)

an addiction is an addiction, so we may get shot down in flames for being food addicts? hmmm stop and think people before critacising (sp) another addict, she was just addicted to something different thats all, our addictions or ex addiction to food can also can kill, never forget that before judging others !

Any way a life is a life is a life no matter where you live who you are famous or un famous :(

I can't believe some of the posts about this tragic story. Amy Winehouse was someone's daughter! She was the victim of circumstance.

If we can all be certain that we wouldn't have taken the same steps, were we wearing her shoes, or that our own children will never do any such thing, then we may have some right to voice such opinions. As none of us have such powers, surely we should offer respects to anyone affected by her passing and keep other opinions to ourselves.

Results of her post mortem are inconclusive. Maybe everyone is making wrong assumptions....

Yes I agree it is so sad that she is dead, and what a waste of a life. I feel sorry for people who don't have money and want to stop. She had the best chance of stopping I'm sure if we had her kind of money most of u's will be able to beat are addictions. She could get the best help money could
Buy. I agree she done it to herself, and also agree the same with smoking ( me myself smoked since I was 13 ) and if I got lung cancer it would be my own fault. I don't think it has anything to do with the addiction it is to do with the fact she didn't even want help, where everyone on here knows we have a problem and work hard to beat it. It is such a shame her family couldn't help her and I feel sorry for them. X x x

Isnt the first step in addiction realizing and admitting you have a problem??? Then getting the help to try and over come it ?? (and I know she been to the clinics etc b4) but Some ppl cannot control their addictions and I think its some what presumptuous to assume she didn't want help, unless u knew her personally, then in that case apologize. Fact - Some people cannot stop !!!

Yep I no from personal experience having went out with a drug addict for 2 years some people no matter how hard we try will not stop them doing it. That is addiction and drug addiction is horrible for the people around them having to watch them do it and lie to you. I no not every addict the same, but it is horrible being on the other side wondering where they are what they are doing if the next time they are going to die. I'm do feel sorry for her but if she really wanted help she would of stopped. She was just not ready and unfortunately it is too late for her x x x

Hi all

In my humble and solitary opinion this thread has gone totally off topic and storm clouds are forming. I believe it was started for those who wished to acknowledge Ms Winehouse's demise.

For the harmony of the forum, may I suggest it stays as a tribute thread fir those who wish to do so and leave debates for elsewhere. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it would be a pity for such a lovely group of people to fall out over this.

I apologise if I'm speaking out of turn x x

Yep I agree I think though it would ov went wrong no mater what from the first post, mention of drink and alcohol. I for one had only give my opinion I have not commented on anyone else opinion or think anyones opinion is wrong. The people who do, are starting the debates and maybe should learn to understand that other people have an opinion and don't need to (apologise) if it's not what they want to hear as I for one am not a child and don't need to be spoken to like one.

well said sue,,i was about to say the same,,too many people judge, as for the drugie comments,i pray to god if you have kids they never become addicts , cos if they do , you will feel so so differently, addiction nothing to do with wealth or fame,im upset that these remarks were left on a clearly titled tribute page, im gutted to be honest but thats life , you live and learn
