Roll Call - post ops please post

Oh hun, don't worry, it gets better & since you had keyhole you will rebound very quickly. Just rest as much as you can, try and sip, sip, sip fluids all day long. This time next week you will feel a bit more nomal. Just take it easy but try to get some movement every couple of hours as that will help you metabolism from getting too sleepy.

Hi, I had a bypass at the Spire in Southampton on June 6th 2009

had my gastric bypass feb 06 had petersens hernia repair aprox 5mths later and still in pain on and off ever since grumbling gurgling wind....ive lived on pain killers on and off . recently the pain inmy back ,pouch, grumbling bloating and wind is so painful im having t live off 60mg of codeine evry 4hrs ...waiting for lap surgery t c what the problem is bcos scans x rays show nothing...i feel the longer it is since surgery the less the hospital seems to take the problems/severity of pain seriously ...i feel they treat me has a hypocondriact....im so fed up im thinking of asking for my op t be reversed...3 years of hell and still got severe pain i think id rather risk the complications of a reversal than carry on with all this pain ....the only thing that makes me smile is the fact my surgeon (nhs) says my surgery is a success bcos ive lost 8 stone mmmmmm...

Hello & welcome to minimins. I was very sad to read the terrible complications you have had, it must be really frustrating when you feel that your health professionals aren't listening! And living with that level of constant pain must be a terrible burden. I really have no words for all of that, it is just the worst. I hope that you can get everything sorted, and if that needs to be a revision then I can understand your thinking. Wanted to also say congrats on losing 8 stone though I can guess that is not all that important considering your pain.

Best of luck & take care,
Nic:D
