I can eat quite a normal portion of salad. Salad that consists of lettuce, rocket, cabbage, feta and a tomato. Is this normal? Worried I am eating too much!
Yes that's normal. Salad is mostly water and carbs so it mushes down to practically nothing in your pouch and so passes through quite quickly.
If you were to purée a plate of salad you'd see it would be quite liquidy, whereas if you tried to purée say a chicken breast it would be very difficult without adding extra liquid, it would be a much more dense blend. Because your mouth and tummy are basically a blender this is what happens inside. Hope that makes sense!
Great advice, as always, Shel. I find I can't do cold chicken but warm chicken is no prob. Yup, down to the moistness. The slow cooker certainly helps!
