i'm just over 2 months and enjoying a steady weight loss(and the compliments to go with it)

i know its all a game of trial and error, but i feel scared to try foods. i've not had a dumping experience(as yet) but if something does not agree with me it sits, and the only way is up. i have my first follow up dietician appt next tuesday and will speak to him about this
:sigh:

the one i saw before the op was scott @ st georges, he's very nice, not sure if i will be seeing him or someone else.

Hi. Paula I had my follow up today and consultant is very pleased with me. I know what you mean about trying different foods but I have tried almost everything now and had no problems. I tried just having one mouthful of whatever chewed slowly and seen how it went. Hope this helps xxx

Did he inspire you to try new foods and listened to your needs or preach the rules and try to make you eat things you don't like. I think I have him too!

Will find out next week. He's an Aussie/nz(I think) lol

Scotts lovely, he's from New Zealand. Very understanding and straight talking. Try all the things you fancy, just tiny amounts and chew for England. I still find eggs don't go down well and I can't eat deserts apart from a yogurt/fromage frais type thing but don't usually have the room for it. I find that bread, pasta rice and solid stuff gets a bit stuck so I rarely have them, toast is ok though. Keep on trying things. See how they go.

I used to go as they used to start at 6pm but now they've moved them to 5pm it counts me out because I'm at work till 5. It's a shame because I found them a really good recource and it was always great to meet everyone in the same boat.

If you're in the area, some of us are meeting in Wallington (near Sutton) next Wednesday there's a post about it in the meet ups section.

I know exactly what you mean, I'm already panicing about trying foods - I really hate to be sick. I havne't been sick yet, but I've felt sick lots! I've also dumped badly once so that has put the fear of god into me. Last night I put a little tuna in my mash and managed that:)
