I had my first appointment this morning and it went really well. The Dr and dietician agreed that a bypass is the right choice for me, I was very low risk and I should have no problems at all.

The next step is a meeting with my surgeon and aneasthatist (cant spell) in the next 2 weeks.

My surgery should be complete within the next 4 week :bliss:

Thanks everyone, my head is all over the place and I'm trying to think of all practical things to keep occupied. What to take to hospital, preparing food now etc.. Great idea from my dietician was to make sloppy foods and freeze them in ice cube trays, for example liquidise chicken and gravy and fill a tray with it, same with mashed potato and veg and then I can just have a cube of each for meals.. very clever!!
