Or the first time in my life I'm seriously worried I'm not getting enough calories in me. 3rd day post-op and I barely managed 400-500 cals and that with some serious effort on my part.

It's weird, wondering how to get more healthy cals in me. I've considered switching to whole milk for the time being to get a little closer to 1000.

I'm as amused as worried, this is a challenge I prefer to trying to cut calories.

Far too early to be worrying about calories hun!It will build as you get further out.Eat sensibly and yes I have full fat milk.a little bread and butter, cheese full fat everything in fact. But I have had rny so may be different to a banderbecause of malabsorbtion.

im early out too, and have used full fat thing just to up my calories, as i eat more i'll use lower fat things again. Three days is very early. Good luck :) xxx

I'm worried that not getting enough calories might slow down my healing. I also went to buy some more milk yesterday and had to stop at the library to recover because I felt really faint. I had hardly done any walking at all. I'm on my own so if I need something I need to go get it myself :(

i agree about not worrying about calories yet, just concentrate on your protein and fluid intake for the time being xx

I'm having the exact, same problem. Yesterday, I only managed x3 crackers with cream cheese and a small bit of watermelon.. oh and I drank an actimel.
Today I have only managed a yogurt so far and I hope I'm able to face some chicken soup later tonight :z

Can't you do a couple of weeks shopping online so that you can recover?
You could place milk in the freezer and take it out the night before you need it.
I think with Asda you only have to have a spend of £23 before they deliver :)

I'm 5 days post band and have really struggled the last few days. I'm glad to say that Ive managed more today and its also a lot more comfortable

Saw my dietician this week & she said not to worry about calories at tis tage. I'm 3 months post . Protein is the important thing.
