I am struggling a lot just like you, barely lost 20 pounds since op on 13 th october.... but having my third fill on 25feb, and I am hoping this one ll start my restriction. But like you said, we will get there xxx
 
Hi CC, I remember you from when you got your band, it was around the same time as me I think. I don't contribute here much as I feel such a failure too. I know what you are going through . I paid 10k for my band, I've lost 4 stone ( in 2.5 years). Before Christmas I had to have 7 mil taken out of my 14ml band as I was so sick.I've changed providers ( long story). So going to see a new guy on Monday for fills / advice etc.

I just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain, I find this a constant struggle,and despite everything cant seem to shift anymore weight. I need to lose about another 6 stone.

We have to look at the positive side though, I always think how bad things would be if I hadn't had the band at all.

I really hope things improve for you.

Can you believe I've joined Slimming World. My friend who isn't banded has joined so I have gone for moral support as she didn't want to go on her own. The weekly weigh in is keeping me in check until I have another fill on Friday. I am really struggling with this band malarky, lost 3 stone since last may whilst others have lost that in the first few months but I am happy to be on the path and I know eventually I will get to where I want to be. I am just one of those who's journey is slower than others. We will have to start a tortoise group!

Sorry to hijack your post CC. We all know the loss with the band is slower compared to other wls. However to me the important thing is getting into a mind set this is about making healthy choices and forming good habits for the rest of our lives. If you think of this as any other diet then frustration is going to set in very quickly and bad habits will creep in. It has been well over a year since I had my op and I realise most people who have had bands since have lost a lot more than me (judging what I can work out from my weigh ins at my hospital appointments). However in plodding slowly along I hope that I do not yoyo back and put on what has been damn hard work to get off. I am having some problems with my band but I am still very grateful for the opportunity it has given me and I am determined to persevere. Whatever helps is great including going to classes - the band or other wls will not do it for you all by itself.

CC you are being so hard on yourself. Keep fighting the good fight.

Not a proper update, but an update on my weight nevertheless. Weight GAIN - how do I feel ... take a guess, but I won't take any bets as I'd lose.

I am depressed but thats in part due to my severe lack of consistent hard exercise lately. Last week I worked out twice and one of those sessions was yoga.

Anyway ... I'll post the rest of the updates later.

I feel like binging :(

No restriction btw.

Only 60 more pounds to go before I'm happy.
