Well a few days to go before I go to my first group meeting. Is there anything I need to be prepared for? Are they any questions I need to ask( I have my own )
And why do I feel nervous lol

Hi Paula

I went to the group forum there in january... The bariatric nurse goes through all the operations they do, answers any questions you have .. U should have been sent some questionaires to fill in, u give them back and she takes your height and weight...

Good luck Paula, had my first meeting with Kathy Edge on 4th Jan 2010. Had my surgery 1st April 2011. She is lovely, you will get weighed and height done. Then she will show you about all the different surgeries St georges offers. When I went there was about 10 others there. I got chatting to one girl, and we have been best mates since, following each others journeys she had her surgery a week before me. So you never know you might meet someone who may become a life long mate too

Had the group meeting, I don't need to worry about getting funding as guidelines changed I automatically get it because of my bmi. Not shocked at waiting times from what I've seen on the posts on here.
Had a giggle before hand though I was waiting outside as I was early and a guy who had just had an op( he was in a gown) came out for a smoke. Must have forgotten that he wasn't wearing pants as he sat down opposite me saw more than I wanted to lol

I am a bit confused about the waiting lists as I was referred by my GP in March 2009 !, i had the St Georges group meeting in September 2009. I have had the dietician appointment and seen the surgeon in April this year and im now waiting to find out whats next. My case seems to have taken years longer then anyone elses ?.

I live in South London so presum its Surrey PCT ?
