Stitches!

Just wondering whether people have had stitches in their puncture wounds and whether they were dissolvable?! Mine seem to be sticking out my tum and keep getting caught on my clothes! X

This is quite normal hun , dont worry about it and try not too pick them out , the body will rid of what it needs too in its own time xx

I ended up using a pair of brand new steralized nail scissors and some tweezers I was 5 weeks post op and the piece that was causing trouble turned out to be a knot when I took it out it healed virtually overnite

Aw thanks for Ur help guys, I've had a quick snip of one stitch but it was getting caught on my tights at work and as soon as I stood up.... Ouch!! X

I was glued but one stitch poked out from underneath and caught on my bra. I pulled it out with a pair of eyebrow tweezers! but I'm an ex nurse!

I had staples but only had one incision. Mine were taken out after five days so I didnt really have much trouble. i would pop to the GP or practice nurse at your doctors and I am sure they will make you more comfortable.

I have five tiny scars and they were glued

i had 5 little scars and they were stapled, 10 altogether, i must admit the one in between my boobs was the sorest apart from one of them on the left hand side, but i was told that that one would be sore for some reason. it was a relief when they came out.

I too was stapled in the five incisions I had so sorry I can't help. Hope you get them sorted though as its uncomfortable enough without the added niggly bits xx

As a current nurse I'd definitely say get your practice nurse to take a look, they can then remove the bit that's troubling you or remove all the stitches if appropriate. If removal isn't an option she should bs able to sort you out a dressing to protect the wound a bit longer.
