Hiya Peeps, with my big 50 looming and getting sorted for my rather large birthday bash, would I still be able to have my hair streaked for my party. By then I will be 3months post op just when the dreaded hair loss thingamy. I dont wanna be looking like Duncan Goodhew now:8855::8855::8855:

I can't see any reason why!! Just go for it, it might be a good idea to have a little chat to your hairdresser though to be certain. have you noticed any hairloss? I lost a bit after my band but it grew back stronger afterwards...Have a fab party! and enjoy your fiftieth xx

No hairloss as yet, but Ive never been in the 1st row of goodluckers in the past. knowing me it will get me full on, like my night mares I keep having as 1 morning I wake up and my whole head of hair is on the pillow But like you say if it grows back thicker ect I might just call myself Rapunzal:8855:although I have been taking selium and solphazinc from the 2nd week of my op so hopefully I might have prevented the hairloss or at least kept it at bay. I think peoples hair just thins out for a while , are you taking your nails , skin and hair tablets . Have a great time on your birthday when it comes .

Hiya Marg yes I take perfectil and after being on them my skin is beautiful just like silk and my hair is realy shiny, only thing is you dont see any change until youve taken them for a good 3 weeks. they work out at £7.50 per month and you can buy them at any chemist.

I would say so Allie my hair skin and nails are all in pristeem condition but you dont benefit by them until about the 3rd week. You can get them from boots , chemist, superdrug, ect well worth the money just 1 tablet per day. I wear acrylic nails permanently but my own nails are outgrowing my acrylics now

I've never taken anything to help with hair and nails before. Are they chewable? on pescription or over the counter? i dont know if i want to add more tablets to my list...but my hair is in the worst condition its been in a long time....hmmm

No they arent chewable they are about the same size as a D.G tablet and are flesh colour, you can get them on perscription but it works out the same price if you have to pay charges. the beauty is yes you can buy them off the shelf and to be honest whats 1 more tablet for vanity cause 6months post op we wont be on all the medication that we are on now anyway.

Yes why not get your monies worth I would!! Yes the name is perfectil they also do a shampoo in it as well but thats not on script.

hi all, im 4 1/2 months post op and my hair is falling out abit but not noticable at the moment and only seems to happen when i brush it. it was looking kinda dull(it's mousey) so had blonde highlights put in last week and its turned out fine but i will buy some of the perfectil that u've advised......everything helps!

Hiya gail im a hairdresser and having your hair coloured wont make your hair drop out any more than it would do normally as long as it does not get over processed, having it tinted and not bleached will leave it in a much better condition x have a lovely party x
