Yeah i wondered that after looking through this site but I was emailled to say that I could do solids a week later. My bmi is 32 so not sure if it's that? I've also been told I can return to exercise in two weeks once the wounds are healed? I thought about sucking on a pringle yesterday-how weird! Do u get a sharp pain in the left hand side if you breathe in too far or laugh/cough? Xxx

Hi crazycat are you still experiencing the sharp pain on your left? Had my op on the 2 Nov and still got pain under my left breast. Its not as bad as it was but it is still definately tender especially if I move a certain way and feels like a stitch.

Mine were waterproof too & had a shower every day with them on. They came off when I went to the nurse for my staples removing on day 10 & I was able to then have a bath .... heaven xx

Hi Denise , hope you are ok ! I'm worried you mention staples and I'm thinking omg what lol. I thought the only staples were on the inside is that not right ? Xxx

Hey Patricia hope you are feeling a bit better? I don't have any pain now. Can still feel the main wound scanning over a bit and I'm starting to feel the heaviness in my chest when I've eaten enough. Maybe yours is the 'cue' people talk about to say they are full? Xxx

Sorry Hun but you may have staples to hold wounds together, some have glue but I had staples....having them removed is fine tho, doesn't hurt that much, but I'm thinking if you didn't know then maybe you haven't got them?!! x

How long did it take u to be able to lie on the left. It's the side I usually sleep on!!

It took me at least four weeks before I could sleep on my left side again. I never thought I would be able to sleep on my back, but I did!

I can sleep on both sides and back OK..... I am 4 days post op.... now I am thinking - I'm not normal x x
