The Raw Truth from the start

U need to get them looked at they don't sound to good asap.
The tender nibbles have me baffled too.They've been like it since op.
 
How are your scars Mimi? After 3 weeks I did not expect them still to have inflamed red circles around them. They do scab over but when I bend or dry myself after a shower no matter how gentle I am they fall off and green pus comes out :( Not a pleasant subject but my hubby thinks they are fine, but I am not convinced. I though I would have lines not open circles at one end with clear plastic sticking out.
I really do not have time to be going to the GP my kids are off school (obviously lol) and my little one is disabled it is so hard to get to the GP and I keep thinking as long as I keep them clean they will start to improve.
Are yours still purple red around the outside? :confused: Side note how is your nipple/hernia situation coming along?
 
Bella mine did exactly the same, I went to see the nurse at my docs and he just cleaned it up with antiseptic wipes and told me to leave it uncovered. I'm about seven weeks out now and they are pretty red a couple of them but the rest look great. Well as good as they can! I've been slathering bio oil on though x
 
Mine r good and iv been using bio oil since yesterday my scabs never fell off.they just cleared up and I have got one with a stitch sticking out a bit but read on hear that that will clear up in 3 to 6 wks.
My nibble problem is a bit better but I wore a sports bra today on the treadmill I think my normal bra was rubbing .lol.
 
Well as all off us no thought experience I brought some jeans last year and surprise surprise they didn't fit one pair I brought from ebay and they said 20 s but they were 18 s and tonight tried on both pairs and wow they fit .going to lightwater valley tomorrow for my sons birthday and I'm going to ware the 18 s yay.

Well done mimi, that's a great feeling. My weight loss is extremely slow but my trousers feel looser everyday x

today was my first day eating normaly so i had a baked pots at lightwater valley then for tea we went to pizza hut .
i had a few nachos and half a slice of pizza and i was fall.
and no pudding how good was i.
 
It's great to have that helping band isn't it :)
 
its been awhile.
went shopping with my hubby to buy him some jeans and he has lost 5 inchs of his waist he`s gone from 41 down to 36 he was so pleased well done him.
having my first fill on thursday im giong to ask for 0.5 ml im doing ok and i dont want to over do it and be sick.
im house sitting this week and walking a dog so lots of exercise.
only lost a pound again this week and i have been working really hard .
 
Well done Mimi a pound sounds fantasic to me. I gained 3 this week and no idea why, have done everything by the book, at this point I am having regrets. This is what normally happens to me when I diet. I put the effort in and get nothing in return, why oh why did I think a band would make any difference?
I am so unhappy at the minute. I would understand if I had been eating trash but I have been at 1,250 a day all my water and protien so what gives? :(
So to me your pound sounds wonderful, I would have given anything for a loss this week! I just want to be going in the right direction and feel it is one step forward, 3 steps back :(
 
oh bella im so sorry have you thought about getting checked out by your doc.
it sounds like it may be something else.
i`m getting frustrated that its not moving faster but today i joined mfp and the calories they say i can eat are a lot more than wot i have been eating.so i`ll give it this week got my fill on thursday so i will be weighed then.
i hope you get it sorted have you phoned the hospital group for advice.
 
when do you weight yourself i do it sat as soon as im out of bed do a wee and poo if i can then straight on the scales and move them around get on them three times just to make sure.
 
our kids are away staying with family for a few days so last night OH and me went out to dinner, because we have both been doing well we only had a main course ,i had salmon and veg and OH had mushroom stroganoff ,it was lovely but we didnt have a pudding or coffee just that.
i was very proud of us because before we would of had starter,main,pudding ,coffee and cokes.

Bella for me 1250 cals didn't work, my ideal was 850! Just bear in mind we are all different. How much water are you drinking each day and how many grammes if protein and carbs are you consuming daily? I really had to understand my food content to make it work. Xx

Lol that is exactly what I do even the three times to make sure :)
I dont know what good phoning THG would do? I am doing all the right things they advice so they will probably just tell me to stick with it. Which I will I don't really have any other choice.

Hi Jo two weeks ago I was on 800 cals and put on a pound and everyone here told me I was not eating enough lol. So I am at a loss. Everyone said if you are not eating enough your body goes into starvation mode and holds on to the fat. So I up'd my cals last week and lost 3 did the same this week gained 3. Its like I cannot win no matter what I do.
I have a 14ml band with no restriction yet, but I do not know what a fill is going to do as everyone says eating fewer calories only makes your body cling onto fat.
I did write a thread 'angry and frustrated' where I talk all about it and no one thinks eating less is my solution. So still left confused :(

Have you looked at the carbs n protein levels? it was the key for me xx
 
I agree with Jo, it does take time to understand our bodies and we are all different. For me the carbs was not an issue ... But the protein was and still is definitely key to my success. Takes more effort to eat and leaves you feeling fuller for longer, and seems to burn that fat off faster.
