Hi mimi just remembered you are having your appointment next week you've not got a date yet for the op have you. I would think you will get the date next week. Even though I'm in it of pain now I don't regret it. I know it will ease in a day or two I'm still really bloated with the gas and swelling. Taking the wind relief tablets that's helping a little. Sat with a hot water bottle now. X
sad news today.
i`v worked for an elderly lady for about 8/9 yrs and she has always treated my children like her grandchildren (better than their own grandmother in fact)but she`s gone into a care home because on tuesday she was rushed into hospital with a urine infection but she`s 91 and its hit her quiet badly she is a lovely lady and when i went to see her today she was sitting in a chair could hardly move and she coundnt speak to me very upsetting because i feel she properly wont come home again.
Oh how sad for her & you. I have a tremendous amount if experience of kidney & urine problems with mum. I am her primary career & spent many weeks at the hospital with mum. Fingers crossed she will rally. My thoughts are with you both.
Thank u belly dancer I m not sure if she`ll come back from this given her age I hope so she has always been very independent she comes from Poland and was a nurse in the war so she`s seen a lot of hardship and she really wants to die at home.
In quite a bit of pain but don't let that worry you. I've gone for the soluble co codamol now rather than just the paracetamol. Stir and stir to get all fizz out. It's the wind pain travelling round that's making things worse and that should be settling by tomorrow. It will all soon settle down I know that x
Good luck! I'm having my band in the morning (got to be there for 7am):0/ i had my bloods done today at Dolan Park Hospital....im very nervous but also very excited. Dont know if i'll get much sleep tonight. I've found this week tough on the liquid diet but im almost done. I can't wait to have something other than milk and yoghurt. i know ive made the right decision but i feel bit sick at the moment (im a baby lol) im 32, been overweight for most of my life due to ill health, ive had 2 hip replacements and im waiting to have a new knee.....i'm like a bionic woman lol good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Emma x
Hi Emma, don't worry, if you are sure you are doing the right thing just be excited. even though I'm in pain I'm still happy and excited to start my new life. I'm 32 on Saturday x
Thank u can't wait now could of had Mr halsted on 26th June but my hubby would feel better if I had Mr sig he's not coming with me so I no he'll worry this way he said he'll feel better .
Ooh is mr sig supposed to be better? I can't complain about my scars, very neat and tidy. Although the big whole made me feel a but squeamish. Mr halstead was fantastic with me. Really put me at ease and answered my questions on the morning. Glad it's over and done with now and I can start recovering at least it gives you plenty time on the milk/yoghurt diet if that's what you do. It's hard work but it pays off x
Ah I couldn't watch those I was too squeamish! Well impressed with myself for doing my own injection this morning! The longer you have on the pre diet the smaller your liver will be. Although I didn't remember them saying anything to me about mine. I was still trollies for quite a while mind loved the anaesthetic! I woke up an said ooh that was lovely I really enjoyed that! X
