Ana the Nurse Specialist rang me back this morning.
She asked a load of questions about diabetes, high blood pressure which as far as I am aware I dont have either. She thinks I could do with having all my bloods repeated.
Reckons I could be anaemic due to the prolonged periods, and possibly doing too much. Which wont be a surprise as I always use to be anaemic with periods, hence me having the mirena coil fitted now I have gone from no bleeding at all to 10 days worth at least.
Suppose that will also explain the headaches and depression..
She talked me through what to eat to boost my iron intake and minerals and is trying to get me into an appointment at a normal surgical clinic before 6th May. However my Consultant is off sick and she is not sure when he will be back as he has been really unwell, and in April due to all the bank holidays and the other 2 Bariatric Surgeons being on a course the clinic is closed...
She also told me that even though I have lost weight I am still heavy - No **** sherlock!
