How long is it from being referred from local GP to hearing from hospital can anyone help ....im in Co Durham thank you

hi for me after years of jumping thru hopes before the changes.. Cheshire

1 week to know the forms had been received at the decision makers for funding...1 week to know they had been signed off...given a date to attend hospital for pre op tests ect 3 weeks...in which time I have to go to a group meeting to fulfil part of my obligations

Well its a week today since I saw my gp and nothing in post yet...im at docs on friday for fasting blood tests im going to ask if they have sent letter off to hospital yet im so impatient. .......

do you know who she is sending forms to...I knew they were going to countess so rang and got the number ...maybe a gentle .."hi have you got my forms yet" may help ease your mind

My Gp is a she and haven't a clue where im being referred to I was in a state of shock when I came out as this was 3rd time in asking previously ive done 3 lots of oralstat. ..heart foundation diet with the docs and slimming world....so I wasn't expecting her to yes to being referred. ..im going to ask on fri .....

Darlington hosputal is the nearest....but not sure yet .....

ring the practice manager say the doc was doing your forms..and have they been sent in yet..if she says yay or nay...just say where will they be sent/or where have they been sent ..then google the phone number and call...and just ask them to put your mind at ease on the processof either when they get them or...what now they have them

Ive just rang and letter has been sent off but she couldn't see to who I said I was down on friday and I would ask then she said it was sent off last friday....im so pleased its gone off ...I know its a long process and every day counts....what should I be doing now should I be sticking to diet or not bother until ive seen some1 ....ive loads of questions sorry

nono I am the same...

personally I have just been very well behaved and trying to get ready if that makes sense ..I am the list girl I have a list for a list for a list...in fact I am quite anal as I have a terrible memory..So far i have

Bought a blender so that I can make shakes andpurred food.. when I cook a meal I make a extra dinner up and puree it

Bought a slow cooker so I can hide veggies as in shredded carrots.. lentils all the kinda stuff that will melt into the juice that

Bought the deli pots 4oz kind with lids of ebay so portion size and control will be easier (and it is sooo easy)

Got scales that cover my current weight....found out about the best local gym(thanks sue) and the costs involved ect..

PACKED yes packed my hospital bag! got my new jamies and slippers! hehe

Started to work out meal plans and recipes that work foor us as a whole for the family putting them together ina binder so I have a go to book for turkey meat balls ect ect ..researched high protein low carb recipes...sourced protein powder

Fantasy shopped till my head aches...

Trying to take more care of myself..as in grow nails do hair.. shave legs stuff to keep my hands and mind busy..

Been on here way to much lol

Just kinda filling my time for the path I want to go on if that makes sense

glad at least you know form has gone off tho ...shouldn't be too long

Thanks Jo ...im off work at the min 6weeks holidays...so I have way to much time on my hands to think!!! It all came to a head on holiday when my hubby said I stopped breathing in my sleep so that's what made me go to docs again she was fantastic. ..she said today was the 1st day of the rest of my life. .I cried....ive asked many times and was told no!!! Done diets tablets etc and at least the doc saw all of this....anyway im trying to stay healthy eg soups rice chicken smoothies all homemade reading up on here not sure thtas for the best lol ......Claire

I'm in Durham and went to Sunderland for my op last week. All in all it took 18 months, but the first seminar was a matter of weeks. I'd already had counselling for another issue so they were happy to skip that for me.

So, seminar, bariatric nurse appointment, in again to see consultant, endoscopy, op.

I went with north tess took 9 month but know people who it's only took 4 month x
