tip for postopppers

I used to love Marmite pre-op but find the taste just a bit too intense now. I'm probably more used to the blander tastes now.

I'm nearly 11 months post-op and have never had a b12 injection and all my bloods have always come back normal. So, it is wrong to say that ALL bypass post-oppers need the injections. I've never needed any iron supplements either, but do take a Sanatogen A-Z and Calcichew every day.

I'm nearly 4 months post-op and I've never had, nor been prescribed B12 injections either. I had my bloods done a few weeks ago and they all came back fine. Even my iron... which was "very high" in spite of the fact that I've not been taking the supplement because it tastes disgusting ! I must be eating the right things... I've still been told I should be having iron tablets now, even though my levels are already very high  I also take Forceval, Zinc and Calcium (all prescribed)

yuck yuck yuck...absolutely hate it.....((my face is wincing as I type)
I would rather have the jab.....although I have to ask at this point...where exactly do they do the jab (bottom leg or arm???)

lol who cares, even if they do it in the eyeball, its still more apealing than marmite!!!

The new posh (therefore expensive) Marmite is even more delish.

Think you'd have to eat heck of a lot to get enough B vits from it though!!

My bloods are all over the shop - off to get sorted next Thursday - but still having the marmite!!

xxx

mmm some good ideas there for using marmite, might try them. i was told by my dietician that all bypassers would eventually need b12 jabs, they all seem to have different policies dont they. i know that since i had mine a couple of weeks ago, ive felt a lot better, i didnt realise at first, then one of my daughters asked me what id been taking cos i seemed to be napping less and trying to do more each day, then it hit me. so i think i must have needed it, even though im suffering more with my back, i am feeling better in myself. hugs x
