Good on you Karen... you'll retain water with all that exercise as it helps yr muscles repair after workouts too! x

i know it has already been said, but hang on in there, its just a body blip, i had a gain early on post op, and couldnt explain it, and was devastated, but i havent looked back since, chin up girl, your body will behave its self again

I think clothes sizes are far more reliable than scales in any case. You're doing brilliant Mrs!
 
Ditzee, sugga and Charis are all right! Muscle does not weigh more than fat (urban myth) but you could well be retaining water from visiting the gym and that will soon balance out once your body is used to it.
Try measuring yourself every couple of weeks and watch the inches fall away from the weight loss and the gym visits, and if you can weigh every other week i bet it'll all look a lot better. well done for getting in the 18 jeans :)
