Under the knife 25.7.2011-Monday !!

The big day looms large. Finished work. Hair being done in morning. Bag packed apart from my toothbrush. Books read. Info gathered. Pre-op diet followed to the letter. I'm ready.
Feeling strangely- blank. Not excited or scared. Not happy or sad. Just dog tired and flat !

It's just so surreal - even when I was on the operating table I thought where the hell am I and how did I get here. Let yourself get carried through by the people who know what they are doing. The realization of what has happened will hit you soon enough and then you will need to draw on your own energy to get better. Funny thing to say but enjoy this one time only never to be repeated experience. See you on the other side. Xxx good luck

I was the same my husband couldnt believe it he mistook my blank expressions and lack of emotion on me being the bravest girl in the world. The reality was I was just numb or "in the zone" however you want to put it but it got me through. Your doing great xxx
