Vitamin melts

My levels are really good without doubling. So I don't really know.

Well Yve, I was surprised I saw Heather this time, she said double up the multi vit. They had helpfully lost my blood results from the previous time so I suspect that is what she is telling everyone. I didn't know that you were supposed to spread the calcium tabs either, apparently the gut can only absorb one at a time so taking two together doesn't give you two doses. I have been told to take one in the morning and one at night with those.

Its baffling how different the advice is from within a single hospital!!!

Of course a specialised bariatric team will always be able to give the best advice. I was saying that a GP or pharmacist would know of lots of options for vitamin supplementation, not specifically for bariatric patients. Going to a GP or a pharmacist would provide quick information as to the possibilities of which supplements are available and contain specific ingredients - it is not always possible to get an immediate answer from a bariatric team. Sorry for any upset caused.

Thanks lovely.
I did ask in boots and they were really helpful. I've purchased vits that suit me whilst on the preop milk diet. Post bypass I'm sure my consultant will recommend the best vits. Just hope they're easy to swallow !!!!
