Lol...at least he hasnt lost his sense of humour along with his 3 stone Well done!! It will just get easier and easier and his rough days will get less and less.... once he gets onto "normal" food it will be easier too although I wasnt too bad with the puree stage....I loved corned beef mashed into mashed potato and bisto gravy yum yum Keep up the great work Steve! Hi Matt, they told me to just put all steves tabs in a glass and in a bit of hot water and they dissovle quick saves crushing them but he has to swallow the vit one and the iron one, that one tastes disgusting steve told me by the way if you dissovle it lol. They said he should be okay to take them whole when he goes onto normal eating , hope it helps xx

Hi

I am in for my bypass on Monday and I assumed I would be taking the multi vits straight after, as I am already taking forceval but as you say they are like horse tablets! I was taking santagoen gold but my chemists is finding these hard to source now.

I have also been told i will need a b12 injection every 3 months.

Hi Debbie, and welcome ,lm not sure if you take them straight away but they will tell you everything when you are in, different people with different needs l suppose. In Huddersfield/Halifax the dietician has patients taking vits immediately post-op - by squeezing the forceval into strawberry mousse - cos she believes that one needs vits immediately.

I was allowed to take tablets 5 weeks after surgery - and despite being supposed to need Vit B12 injections - my levels are naturally high and I've not needed them!!!

Soon be on more chewy food and bigger portions!!

I swallow my hrt and prozac no probs,have kids gummi bear vitamins and berroca vit c in soluble form,make it first thing and drink when flat.Have no problems.Will have forceval in a few weeks time.Maz x
