Just for info, diclofenac is an NSAID too, same family of drugs as ibuprofen. Seems that surgeons have different opinions! I guess they have to balance risks and probabilities against existing conditions and drug options. Perhaps IDEALLY we should all avoid NSAIDS but for some there is no other choice. I guess we just have to listen to the advice of our own surgeon and decide whether or not we trust their decision making
