I hate photos of me. It just underlines why I want the procedure so badly. I won't like myself until I think there is something to like. I know it is irrational, but it's real. In my head anyway

But yourself is not your body. Your body and your mind are completely seperate, so to not like yourself because of your body is unfair on you! You are a kind, loyal, caring, funny, friendly woman. That's nothing to do with your body, that's just you, and that would be the same no matter what your body was like wouldn't it? So for now, atleast like what's inside, and work on the rest ;)

Hear hear.... and anyway Red, you looked drop dead gorgeous on Saturday night.

I have been reading other threads and it seems walsall is quite quick, dont you think??

Other pct's or people take over 12 months from referal to op.

I just hope because my first hospital app is friday I wont be delayed because of the financial year end/start. Some one did say things might move faster after april???? I hope so :boohoo: I cant be having delays lol

I just had my first peice of toast with a poached egg and it was yummy. Just had to tell everyone lol

Am luvvin' the banana love! LMFAO! UM, actually, on closer inspection, it does read like ban*anal* love. Aiiieeeeeee!

Thnaks Shel for the reality check. THanks Terri & Sam for the very kind words. It's the old fat ogre in my head chatting sh*t to me again. I'll get to the day one day when I can give him the flick! Thanks girls.

And Shel, Sam is right - one would never know you ever had a weight problem. You are soooooo skinny!

We are indeed much more fortinate than a lot of NHS people on thus forum. BENPCT are usually very swift to make a decision (usually within a week), but there may be a slight delay due to end of year cashing-up.

Wen have found that delays we have experienced have been mainly due to admin failures at WM.

Oh no I really hope no delays occur.

I dont really come on this forum normally unless i need info from it because.... it gets me to excited! I read people on the other side's stories and I want it so bad too.

I love reading them but mine is so long away that i might burst before I get there.

I am an excitable person anyway and to hear that people have lost like god knows how many stones in so many months just makes me want it now.

I'm so excited, I cant wait for the new skinny me to come home lol :bliss:

Hey T, DOn't worry about any delays. We have all the relevant numbers to chase people up. To be fair, whilst a few of us have had admin mis-haps, WM seem to do their best to sort them out once you chase them up.

I know what you mean about the success stories. For me, the best bit of the success stories is hearing how "normal" peoples eating habits are once they are say 6 months post op. Seeing Shel on Saturday confirms that there is life post op. She was able to eat what she wanted, stop when full and enjoy herself.

I might pop over and see you tomorrow hun if thats OK. I'll text first x

Yes do pop in and see me if you can sam, that would be great.

I cant stop smiling about my app friday, i know it's the first step but least im on the ladder then.

Teen said she's had toast and poached egg today lol i'd live off that no probs haha x

Did u have a good night Sat?

yes it was a great night. I dont go out much as its not much fun when you've nothing to wear and feel self conscious being so big, but I had a great time. You will have to come next time T.

Yes I saw Teens post about Poached Egg on toast, and she is only about 2 months post op so its reassuring to see how quickly you can get back to "normal" eating.

Yeah i'd like to come out for brekki with you all. I hate going out to pubs n stuff like this so i'l give that a miss.

If you didn't know shel from this forum would you have ever guessed she was over weight before the op?? I know it sounds wierd but will people be able to tell??

Well, Shel is the only person Ive met in RL that has had the op, and no, you would never know she had been overweight. We are all different though, and I suppose it depends on lots of things, like starting weight, genes, skin elasticity etc etc... Im sure Im going to be left with some lose skin but I can hide that with clothes. Its a bit more tricky trying to hide 8 stone of fat.
