went asda and tried their 18 jeans and they were loose (not a size 16...kinda in between)

Hi hun I know asda do generous sizes my mate works in George and said that a lot of ppl say they need a smaller size, next sizes r good not tried gap so couldn't comment but I remember buying for my little boy and having to buy a few sizes bigger than he was xx

yes their kids stuff is pretty teeny as well!!

off to buy some straight leg jeans today..... had enough of bootcut!!

gap sizes are ....not normal... either that or all other shops are weird. Evans - size 20, Asda size 18, newlook size 20... dorethy perkins size 22? nee idea!!!!

I've got a few pairs of New Look "HULA" jeans

Size 12 light blue are baggy. Size 12 black are just right.

Size 10 light blue are good fit. Size 10 black are just a little tight round the waist.

Also wanted to say in most other places I am anywhere from a size 20 to 22 I have reached a point that if its larger than a 22 i wont buy that style...
I'm ashamed to say I just cant bring myself to buy a 24 trouser... anybody know what i mean?

hahahahaha!! so true...if u know u can rock a size 10 then u feel tons better imo!!

oh lamornamiss...to have ur dilemma of size 12 or size 10!!! tis the dream :D

Tryed a size 10 jeggins in Primark for a joke, they fit, danced out the shop, they do stretch tho, who cares x

Last year a size 18 was just a dream:D
I was just going into a size 26 when I had my op but I refused to even think that I was a size 24 let alone a size 26.

It's no different for guys. I was a 5XL in most places, a 6XL in some, but some of my kit I bought from the US was only a 2XL and fitted well. The problem with some mens clothing manufacturers is that they take a regular design and just make the waist bigger, but not the bum or legs so the trousers won't pull up far enough to reach my waist!!

size 10!*/? Size 8 !*/?

What is this language you are talking!!!!!!!!!

I just cut out my size labels LOL!

Thats because American sizing is not the same as ours Chris.

A size 4 for the lady here (whatever that is lol) is the imfamous size zero there.

Sometimes GAP clothes are just labelled as the American size so a 14 is really an 18.

Confused - oh yes!

I too find the black and blue sizing difference but I find the black fits me better because of my shape

from being a size 32+ or a 5xl US size I am enjoying slowly working my way down the scale.
my tops are now getting to be a loose 20 (may attempt a 18 soon!!!) but like many on here I suffer from the "evil apron" so for trousers i can do up a 24 but not comfortably so wear a 26, but my skirts range from a M/L that i bought in Camden Market to the L/XL that i buy from a US/India based net seller

I dont even look at the tags these days i know by the look if they are going to fit. But refuse to shop at jane norman as the sizes there are so small. im a size 6/8 in most places or anything form an age 11 to 13 but in jane norman i have to get a size 12.crazy

Wow you ladies are amazing

I hope to be joining the losers bench soon

My daughter will be 9 next month and is 4ft 10 (ish), she also wears aged 11 - 13 or size six :D x
