Wow it seems every consultant has a different way of doing things! My surgeon saw me before anyone then I'll see dietician then an mdt..... makes me wonder what happens at the mdt!!
At the MDT all the professionals are present including the budget manager, your case is put forward, things like your weight,BMI,Weight Loss efforts your potential and risk for diabetes and other medical risks. They all then decide if they have the money to spend on you and are you worth it. If so they get the go ahead to carry out surgery, your Gp is informed how much it's going to cost out of their budget and you get told you're got the green light.
L&D is so different at my MDT you see the dietician, psychiatrist and specialist nurse. Then you go through everything with them, they have a meeting a decide if your ready for surgery etc. if so you see the surgeon if not then they advice what you must do next xx
Well because I lost my 5% and then I had a few months off because they didn't send appointments and I was coming off anti depressants etc ive gone over my 12 months so I went to my MDT and ECG then they wanted new bloods and want me to loose another stone by the 19th as I haven't lost anymore since I lost my first stone last year :-(.
So heather got my blood results today and called me and started me on the milk diet so I can loose a stone by the 19th feb, I'm already down 9lbs. Also booked me in over the phone to see her on 19th as I'm there for a lung capacity test and to see the surgeon Dr Jain xxxx
