8wk post op...

We ate out for our Christmas Dinner.
Starter, i chose Salmon & Prawn cocktail, i ate the prawns in sauce.
Main was carvery, i had a child's plate and got Turkey, potatoes, pea's, carrots & gravy.
Left 3/4 of it, prawns had filled me up.
Felt uncomfortable after it - musta ate too much!
But enjoyed what i did have. :D
No puddin!!
I have always loved my Sunday/Christmas Dinners - so wasn't gonna miss out!!!!
Since starting my pre-op diet 2wk before op, i have lost 2lb short of 3stone..... so i feel pretty fantastic. xx

i had soup for luch and mash and cheese for dinner lol.xx

hhhmmm ive had 2 many calories lets just leave my food consumption at that for today hehe xxx

I had prawns with salad and sauce
Large slice of beef, 1 roast potato, lots of sprouts and gravy
A bite of hubbys trifle.

Was amazing dinner and amazing day :D

I had four sprouts (luv'em), baby carrots, two roast potatoes, peas, turkey gravy and beef gravy. For pudding I had two crackers with brie and also stilton. A few glasses of wine and some more cheese. We were at the table for two hours. Made the mistake of having a little Baileys to round off the night, oops too much sugar in that. No senna for me tonight!

I had a lovely grilled chicken breast, a couple of boiled spuds, carrots, cauliflower and parsnips. All covered in smashing gravy. Pud was a mince pie with custard.

I had Turkey and Gammon, roast spud, roast parsnip, roast carrot, stuffing, 1/2 a pig in blanket, swede and carrot 2 sprouts and lashings of gravy. It sounds like loads but only had a bit of each. It was so nice not to feel stuffed afterwards. I even managed to do of the just dance game a couple of hours afterwards.

Slightly O/T but anyone wanting some exercise with a difference the just dance on the wii is absolutely great and its such a laugh aswell. x x x x

I had for my christmas dinner: :eating:
small piece turkey, 1 roast potatoe, mashed swede, roast parsnip, carrots, pigs in blankets (coctail sausage wrapped in bacon) stuffing wrapped in bacon, yorkshire pud and gravy, sounds a lot but i didn't eat all of it, then i had a bit of trifle couple of hours later and a couple of cocktail sausage rolls. :xmascheers::xmascheers::xmastree:

I had slice of turkey, roast potato and tablespoon of mash potato, carrots, sprouts, teaspoon of cheesy leeks and stuffing with lots of gravy. Tried to have a little bit of trifle for pudding but full up so had that later on in the evening and my mother in law said i looked like i'd lost weight - so weighed myself this morning and i have lost 2lb which means i have now lost 100lbs!!!! Good Christmas all round xx

Well my family went to an indian resuraunt that did traditional as well, id ordered childrens traditional as was not sure what id be able to have by now, so i had teaspoon of tomatoe soup wasnt keen on that lol i was sat next to my 0ne yr old nephew so he was having my dinner really and he enjoyed the bread that came with it. I then had some turkey in gravey chewed to death only a small amount, then couple of spoons of curry sauce and some bombay potatoes mashed was all very mix match but i enjoyed the flavors and didnt look too out of place as every one was trying a bit of everything had a great day as it was my first day out since being in hospital x

Well done with your 1st meal out Hannah. How nice it is to get back to some sort of normality.

Happy new year to you,
John xx

I had half a slice of turkey, some stuffing, carrots and turnip (mashed together) and a tiny bit of a roast spud mashed up. I managed to eat little bits, rested for while and then had a bit more, then a rest and then I finished it.
It was only tiny bits really, I had a side plate but it tasted so damn good and it went down so well. After the lunch had settled I had some mixed fruit salad (no juice) and a little bit later I had a little bit of trifle which was a gorgeous rare treat. Between everything we all sit around the table chatting etc Then came some cheese and I took advantage of that.
So my food consumption yesterday was good in protein and I tried to make sure that I had as little carbs as possible and as much protein as possible. It was a lovely day and food wise it was too as I didnt feel out of place and just joined in just in smaller amounts food wise.
It was a good day.
Steph xx
