Worried.....

Didn't go down till 6:15! My Bp was sky high, I had to have a Pre-med. don't remember a thing after that!
Turns out I also had a hiatus hernia which the repaired too so I'm in a bit of pain. Mainly the referred pain. Very tired but finding it hard to sleep as my room is 2ft away from the nurses station!
Sooooo pleased its done, biggest relief ever after a day of sheer anxiety!
Thankyou so much for your wishes my lovelies xxxx

Well done! Hope recoverys swift.

Xo

Can't believe I wrote that last post so well after the surgery!
Still here but hope to leave at 9am. I've had no sleep and im in pain but they've said it's the hernia repair that hurts. Good news is I'm full after a small muller yoghurt and half a carton of smoothie!! Apparently I've got a large band with 4mls in it. Don't really have any point of reference so not sure if that's good or bad??
Anyway, thanks again for all your support and wishes, it was all a great help. Suppose I'll need to look in the post-op threads too now! Woo hoo! xx

Well done you! I was so excited when the nurse brought in breakfast then it was muller!! Argh! Haha. I've never eaten so much yoghurt in my life :/ best wishes for a speedy recovery x

Good luck. Mr super repaired my hernia at same time as band, and it's really improved my quality of life. Good luck with your journey home, and make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Peppermint tea is good to ease the wind pain. X

I know dinky! And I don't like yoghurt but gonna have to get used to it!
That's good to know flutterby. I've been taking omeprazole for the past 18months with bad reflux so it'll be great if that improves! xx

Well done Kellbell! Killed 2 birds with 1 stone do they say! Well I hope the pain has eased & you're not suffering too much. Good luck with your recovery keep us up to date x

Well done. Take it steady mind, you've been operated on so don't go doing too much. Put your feet up & enjoy the weight loss as it comes. Hope fully you'll find a massive difference now the Hernia has gone too!

I'm not sure I shall be sleeping tonight I'm so excited about tmrw! X

Hi

Don't panic, with a BMI of only 36 you would have only needed to do the pre op for less than a week anyway and probably not at all, my BMI was 40 and I only had to do it for a week and it was down to 36 on the day of surgery and my bypass went without a hitch.

Paul

Mine was 39 or 40 before I started my pre op and still had to do 4 weeks! You are lucky lol

Happy healing Kel and welcome to the losers bench :)

Congrat's kellsbells, especially on getting a two for one, although I'm sure you didn't want the extra pain at least you know it's taken care of. Hope you are settling in at home now and starting to feel much better :) x
