I understand that Caren. I am NHS and until
I was lying on the table part of me thought they are going to take it off me.

I believe it's Archangel Uriel you need to have a word with for success. And a bit of Archangel Raphael for health matters :D Blessings to you chick. You deserve this to pan out for you xxx

Me too lol. It's made me look an idiot more times than I care to remember lol

Some of my texts end up so bizzarre.

My back pain is still there. Have upped naproxen, but am determined to do stuff today dammit. Have written my todo list and will get some bits done.

Also I am wondering about lethargy. Often don't do stuff because I get home from work shattered, or I feel very lethargic. Sometimes I can overcome this and do stuff, but not always. Does this get better post op? Do you have less lethargy?

My family still laugh at some texts they have had over time.

I can't answer on the lethargy. I usually have too much energy and am missing it. I bet energy comes with significant weight loss though. Some people take up marathons and seriously long bike rides post op :) x

Hi Yve thought I would drop by to say hi and to let you know I'll be thinking of you next mon (my birthday :D) and then starting my pre op milk on the 17th so we'll both be on liquids at the same time lol.

I'm full to cold at the moment but got a week off work so can at least die in peace lol

Keep going your almost there :D

Thanks for the positive message, Louisa! Am starting to really nest now. Have tidied most of the bedroom with OH's help and started to sort clothes into piles. I love how tidying creates more mess!

I found that before my op. my bedroom was a state at one point lol

Hi Yve you do get more energetic I have always been one who likes to be on the go working with teenagers 14-16 you have to be on the ball, I am always in the games at school I have scored many arounder and chase them round the class they are amazed at how fast i coud be but am even faster now. I am a lot better since ,my sleep apnoea got sorted out but that got sorted by losing the weight so the answer is YES and I can agree With Fuffs it is hard to keep yourself down when you want to get up and get among it doing what comes natural to you. The kids at school asked in September when we came back to school why i wasn't joining in some games so i had to tell them why but now I'm back on top and they can't keep up think they wished they hadn't said anything now. xx Hope that answers your questionxx

How did the kids react when you told them you had a gastric bypass? I have just told mine that I am having an op, not what, but I reckon its going to be pretty obvious as I don't go back for at least 7 weeks after surgery.

Your def having wls and not a baby with your 'nesting' lol?

I've now told my adult children, they are concerned but very supportive. The 9 year old, I've just said that I'm having an op on my tum (he knows I need to have my gall bladder out) and he seems happy with that at the moment.

I think I was much less 'nestingy' when I was pregnant with my daughter!

I have always been very open with my daughter as I believe strongly that we are models for our kids. I want her to feel that she can discuss anything with me and that she belongs and her opinion is valuable so I discuss things with her and value her opinion if that makes sense.

She is a mature 9 and has an old head on young shoulders and this approach worked very well when her grandfather died of cancer.

I have never been one to believe that children can't cope with bad news - I think they need to be shown how to cope with bad news.

Hope this makes sense and doesn't come across as holier than thou!

I even let her read the diet sheet so she has a good understanding of what mummy is going to eat and feel like after the op. She was very happy to be in the know.

Oh sorry, now this makes sense! I teach secondary so I meant the kids in school like Chrisa was saying!
