I have just joined this forum tonight and your thread is the first I've read. Firstly I would like to say congratulations you look fantastic. You must be so proud of yourself. I had a look at your weight loss chart and you look like you you didn't lose much at first is that right? I'm 3 months post op and I've only lost 18 kg and feel like its coming off very slow.

Thank you so much :) I started my chart before my op so the slow early losses are preop. I actually was one of those annoyingly fast losers post op. that said 18kg is pretty good :) why do you feel it's slow.

Thank you for replying, I just feel compared to others 18kg is slow and was feeling a bit concerned but I feel a bit happier since joining this forum and reassured now that the loss is ok.

wow - you're literally melting away at the moment !

I can feel a lot of changes myself going on - but you're looking in better shape right now than me.

Happy days :) x

I am struggling to see any changes actually at the moment. I don't know if its just diet head or whatever but I feel like I'm going the wrong way.

You look beautiful.

It's so hard, most of our thoughts centre around weight loss, keeping motivated and it seems so long and arduous a journey, just remember how you felt at your heaviest to see how far you've come. The pain, the things you couldn't do, you're definitely headed forward, you're a fantastic inspiration to everyone.

Thank you, it's very kind of you to say. Unfortunately you're right - the length of the journey is one of the hardest things to deal with.

It's not really kind ha it's true, I've lurked for a long time, you're a favourite read to keep motivated.

Keep your chin up xx

lol I usually am because the weight is usually going down. I've been in a gain for the last two weeks, not big ones, but depressing none the less. Trying something new and scary because the calorie counting isn't working and its new and scary. So I've not been particularly positive at all this week, just moaning and a bit of a pain.

Well that's honest haha, I'm just the same when I gain I imagine it being doubly so frustrating after your bypass, logically you know it's a blip and science says if you're using more energy than you're taking in, you will lose weight, I know that probably doesn't help but it will start moving again it has to it's not optional. :p
