Hiya Sarah and welcome to minis. I to am from the westmidlands and was refered to walsall for my bypass. I wheighed 33 and a half stone. I went with the idea of a band but was advised to have a bypass because of the amount of wheight i need to loose. I had my bypass the 8th of March this year and have lost 7 and a half stone so far and do not regrett my decision at all. Yes it is daunting to think how much wheight we need to loose but don.t think of it in stones just give yourself small goals. Hopr this helps janey![]()
