A few sherberts

ooo rybens have a fab night hunni! x im all for a cheap night!

When i go out i drink Guinness i was out Sat all day and drank 5 pints which compared to the 20 i would have had previously is far better but i find Guinness easy to drink and it has iron in it hahahahahaha

I had 1 glass of Champagne 1 month post-op, then another 1 month later. What I do remember is the intense flavour, after being used to some pretty bland liquids and sloppies. That is generally what I find with "new" foods and drinks, including those that I would have necked with gay abandon pre-op. That along with the changes in textures, you really appreciate the differences in foods like crispy salads, crunchy crispbreads and the like.

Back to the subject, I do now have the occasional drink and am now 9 months post-op. I make sure that I don't drink and drive though, I wouldn't trust myself.
HTH. xx

Iv never had a drink then drove not even sniff of it because i feel fresh after a sip of alcohol, but as regards to post op i wonder how someone would go on because im not sure of the legal limits to drive on but as a post bypasser i would not be able to drive safely after one glass of wine but legaly this wouldnt be over the limit hmmm maybe there should be a 0 tolarance on drink driving and then it would not be an issue x

I think our hospital are realists and have not made any demands on us as to abstaining from the evil drink! As a night out with our support group would show!
I have so far managed two glasses of red wine, but it made my knees and ankles go numb, so ended back on the water and ice. My head the next day was hell!!! I might try the white wine next to see if that hurts my head as much. I also used to love Vodka, lime and lemonade, but I am terrified of having anything with bubbles, and I won't have any fruit juice that is made from concentrate. I tend to drink tap water, ice and lemon whenever I go out nowadays, great for ensuring that I drink enough fluid, and no calories!

Liz is an expert on this, Lol, ask her! Paul xx
ps - only kidding Liz!!!!!!!!!!! x
