Annual leave or sick pay for your recovery.

I'm having mine as sick leave, company is fine about it I'm entitled to 13 weeks paid sick leave. My surgery is the 7th July so it's already been booked off by my boss.

My band was fitted on Saturday.

I am taking 1 week sick leave... But I have pre warned that I might be off a little longer. My dr has signed me off for 2 weeks.

If you are already signed off they cannot. By law take it out of your annual leave. You are either fit for work of not. I took a/l after my band op in 2007 but I never asked for or received a sick note.
