Same as me Claudia , Mr, Whitelaw 2 pm on the 23rd , so very strange (on a letter in front of me) perhaps thats just the general time he starts doing all the ops ..........good idea about dry mouth spray ta ......no doubt we may bump into each other , look for bald bloke with lots of tattoos and massive ear rings ...funny coz I asked if I should take them out for surgery but they said no .Well the countdown is on and not long to go so ........lets hope we both have a great journey xx

I think they have a morning intake and afternoon intake so one of us will be going first ha ha ha ok I'm the podgy dark brunette with a few tats and the flowery pjs ha ha ha xx

Glad everyone is a more positive. Maybe I should but some PJ but finding a large pair in bedford is hard work, unless I want to look about 60. You need lipseal for your dried lips. Never heard of throat spray. What's it do? Sounding stupid x

Ha ha ha Bedford2015 , mouth spray ,.....I was trying to work out exactly what that was last night ......Yes everyones sounding positive tho a bit miffed il have to buy a large dressing gown just to walk to the theatre to stop everyone seeing where the sun shines .......

Well they say 'if youv got it , flaunt it ' Bedford2015 so might just go Commando and give the nurses a thrill , iv got tattoos all over my body , so il show off my back n legs ones ...........might see about getting L done on both bum cheeks before surgery do as I walk to surgery itl read LOL .........glad I found this site coz you lot are very helpful .......thanks all x

Lol. Don't forget your battery charger. I think work want to extend my contact but want to know how long I need off. I read xbander question on another page and everyone was nearly saying 8 weeks. The brochure does say two weeks x

I went to occupational health yesterday and the Dr laughed when i said i was told 2 weeks, she said more like 5-6 weeks at least, i asked on the facebook support group and they all said about 6 weeks as you need to let your body heal after major surgery, also they said wait until your eating normal food, one girl said she went back after 3 weeks and had to go off again as it was to soon and she was shattered.

I was in hospital for 5 days.

I took underwear, shorts, t-shirts, a hoodie (for warmth), slippers, toothbrush/paste, soap, shower gel, a face towel, iPhone charger, headphones.

I also took some Slimfast protein shakes, as the hospital didn't provide high-protein milk. Bit of an oversight on their part really.

I didn't bother with a dressing gown. No point really. I walked to the theatre in the gown; the nurse tied the back up and it was undone again as soon as I was in the anti-theatre.

My belongings went to theatre with me in my bag and stayed under the trolley I was wheeled back to recovery and the ward on.

So I had my hair chopped in prep for my op no way am I going bald lol!!! So I haven't had my hair cut in 12 years!! So hears a before and after xx

Slim fast protein shakes Big Dave D ,,.......are we on them from the beginning then , best I get some if so , as I suffer from COPD and my breathing isnt great theyv told me il probably be in a day or 2 extra to make sure my breathing is stabilised and iv no chest infections , ta about dressing gown too bud
