Hello TB - Amaze you, in what capacity hun??

The only time I suffer with head hunger is if I don't eat my 3 meals per day and don't keep my fluids up.

Yesterday was an different day for me because I ate 2 peaches ( not that its gonna kill me,lol) but I was up @ 6am and was out of the house @ 7am and didn't get to bed until 1am so it was a longer day for me and being on the go as well I knew I needed to have that little extra to keep me going. HTH - Julie xx

Hello TB - Amaze you, in what capacity hun??

The amounts you eat are so tiny to me - but that may account for why I have a weight problem:D. Seriously, I personally would struggle on the amounts you have - having said that with my recent fill I am seriously wondering about what my intake is going to be like when I actually start on anything solid as I am having a job with liquids right now. I do not think my band is too tight - just that I may have enough in it now for it to really start working with me.

You have always been a great inspiration to me - you have shown how the band really can work and that includes all the problems you have had with it early on. You are a star.

Today's intake:

Actimel
2 cups of black coffee
soup
soup again
50 cl of water with nas.

I just had the water, about an hour after the soup and it was a struggle getting it down just sipping it.

No exercise.

In response to your post to Julie, when you have good restriction and you stick to the band way of eating you really can only eat a small amount and feel full.

You havent tested your new fill yet really but do you have some small plates to use for when you move onto real food?

From what you are saying this fill has made a difference so when you get to test it you may be suprised!

Take a tea plate, half filled with protein the rest with veg, go slowly and chew, chew, chew and you will feel the restriction I'm sure x

Much easier to do at home though I might add! :D

Thanks Mazza and Julie. I always eat from small plates and little bowls for my soups. I do not think that I have really had the kind of restriction I should have had and given the difference in terms of how things feel now I am wondering what was going on before they did the fill under x ray:rolleyes:. I have also noticed if I consume anything slowly it really makes me full very quickly now. I am keeping my fingers crossed when I am on something other than soup I will have a better idea of things:).

TB my biggest issue since my lasy fill is thinking that I can eat larger amounts than I can and ending up throwing loads away. I eat off a teaplate though some days a few mouthfuls are enough, other days I feel I could eat more, then when I try I regret it cos either feel or am sick.
Julies portions to me do look tiny, though I'm sure when my eyes finally catch up with what my belly is consuming my portions will be the same... I'm just habitually putting too much on my plate still.
Isn't it strange how many things we have to address to get this right ?!?!

Anyway
B - Dry granola 1/3 cup
D - salad with tablespoon couscous, tblspn four bean salad, inch slice of french stick with I canny believe its not butter spread on. Some chicken too
S - Banana and some nuts
T - Prawn batch with some more of the french stick

Tea, coffe and nas squash
No exercise today
xxxx

Thanks Rache. Well I know I am very stressed and that can have an effect on the band but I am surprising myself how full I am feeling on things. Just had a small bowl of soup. I had a drink about an hour and a quarter before that and I am really feeling it. Need to try and have more fluids though not had much water today.

Actimel
2 cups of black coffee with splenda sweeteners
protein shake
soup
cup of choc options
soup
little bit of water - to take my meds but have not been able to manage more

This thread is a real eye-opener for me because it gives me hope! Hope that I can eat small amounts post-op and lose all this darned weight. I'm on day 2 of my pre-op diet and I'm actually finding it easy but the motivation is at 100% just now...my provider's pre-op diet is low fat/low carb normal food which I quite like and I have to say that one piece of wholemeal toast in the morning with l/f spread is surprisingly filling!

I look forward TB, to seeing how you get on with real food after your fill. Good luck xx

Me too:D and thanks. I am still on liquids just a few days to go. Even with soup I am feeling full much quicker than I have ever felt before. I am going to bear in mind what Rache said about portion size when I start mushies on Monday. My biggest fear is overdoing it and ending up being sick. I have had that sensation a few times with soup this week although I think that has more to being really stressed out this week.

Well done MrsPill on the preop, keep up the motivation and the time will fly by for you xxx

Yesterday I had
B - yog and a nana (forgot to take granola to work :()
L - one slice toast, half tin beans
T - half a burger and a dozen chips (homemade, went out for first time in yonks and it was delish, couldn't manage it all)

Cycled 12.5 miles again and it was a bit easier this time :)

Evening all

Today's intake:

Actimel
2 cups of black coffee
protein shake
oxtail soup
50 cl nas
25 cl water while out cycling
Later I shall have some more soup.

Tomorrow is my last day on liquids. I am feeling a bit apprehensive about moving on to mushies given how my band is feeling so I am going to do it gradually - will probably still be having a lot of soups and build up.

Exercise 4 and a bit miles on my bike:D
