Awww...thank you all for all your good wishes. We are going to do the deed next year. It will be a small do - just family as neither of us want any fuss. Mr TB sat me down today and explained why he has decided he wants to get married - both of us vowed to never do it again after our respective first marriages.
He realises that his MS is progressing. We both knew it but didn't want to admit it. He said he wanted to get married while he could still just about stand and while he was mentally capable of doing so. I love that man to bits.
I also realise that it is time for me to do some things. He is going to need a lot of care and I cannot do the job I do and look after him. So the job hunt is on. I will take a big cut in pay and we will start living on a much reduced income. More to life than money.
Well I have had a busy day. I ate one meal today - first time since I had my band that has happened. I went shopping up at the Bull Ring in Birmingham and restocked my freezer for less than £100 with meat and fish. I took delivery of my new bike
and actually rode it up and down a few times
. It is lovely - well worth the money. Tonight I managed to get rid of the rest of the items I advertised on freecycle. The last couple who came were lovely. I was glad to see my little exercise trampoline go to a new home.
Before that I went to Homebase and bought an additional padlock for the garage and a broom and dustpan. I gave the garage door and the front bits I can get to a good sweep and the damn broom fell apart. My sister works for Homebase so I shall be sending her a text in the morning to say how crap the broom is.
Ming Ellen must be fretting like hell as she dumped two huge pieces of work on me to do over the weekend. She has gone on holiday to France for the week. She was asked to do this work and she therefore decided to do what she does best - delegate. Well she can sweat a bit more - or - and here is a novelty - do it herself
. If I feel like it, I may do it tomorrow. Then again, my garage needs a bit of sorting as the council are coming to take the big items on Monday. So I may just spend my Sunday sorting that and making a few trips to the recycling. Good exercise and good for my moral
- I am getting rebellious in my old age
.
