Co-workers

Thanks for bumping this Yve.

As always though, everyone is different. No one knows about my surgery except my OH and my daughter and thats the way I like it. I work in a very small team and I'm the only female, they are all a fair bit older than me and to be honest they don't need to know, i'ts really none of their business.

Not one person has commented on my weight loss, negative or positive! Observant bunch of work colleagues I have eh?!

When I say only my OH and daughter know, obviously hundreds of you on here know too :D

I do agree Mazza - this really is only my opinion :D

I am an open book about my surgery. At work we had a leaving do for my stomach. Everyone is different but, for me it's not an option to keep quiet. I have to big a mouth. Lol

I told my very closest colleagues beforehand but couldn't hide after about 6 moths post-op. I work with 99% women and the questions just wouldn't stop so I gave in. Only 1 person was a tad snidey. Now the only people that don't know are my parents-in-law and my neighbours (village grapevines and all...) I was never embarrassed by what I did, just struggled to come to terms with it myself in the first place. I still do some days. Now I'm open and upfront with those who ask me questions about it, and I hope that if someone I knew personally decided to go down the same route as me that I could be of support to them cos it's a scary thing!

So glad I haven't told the masses. Only have told, husband, sports massage lady, gym instructor lady, running partner lady, my generously sized lady who lunches friend. Total 5.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Everyone else has watched me refuse any form goodies and do leftover with formal dinners and refuse puds, alcohol etc.

Best decision not to spill the beans
