I Love my Bypass!

OMG I have not posted in here for so long....Sorry
I have today been back to my diabetic specialist nurse at the Manchester Diabetes Centre (I was on massive doses of insulin for uncontrolled type 2 diabetes pre WLS). I was there last week and was fitted with a CGMS (constant glucose monitoring system) which is basically a small device attached via a small cannula into any fatty tissue (my bum!!) it records your blood sugars continuously during the time you wear it and is then downloaded onto a computer. I had it on from Wednesday to Sunday. I went for the results today. I have been told CONSTANTLY by my bariatric team and diabetic management team that I was suffering from Reactive Hypoglycaemia - meaning my blood sugars would spike and then go low AFTER high sugar foods. I kept explaining that my diet is 'quite' good and that I don't have that many high carb content foods, but they insisted. I asked for this CGMS to be fitted to see what reaction I had to foods. It has shocked me and my diabetic nurse! My blood sugars are constantly under 5......after/during/before food it never spikes yet falls dangerously low 5-8 times per day and even during the night. Even after a high carb meal on Friday evening (which I ate deliberately to test) they never went above 4.9 (most unusual!) On the Thursday my blood sugars were below 3.9 for 61% of the day! (hypo) and even reached as low as 1.9 for some time too. Now I take no diabetic medication and have not had any since the day of my surgery
but these hypo's have been the bane of my life since 12 months post op and continue several times a day, resulting in me having to eat carbs at every meal and correcting major lows with sugary foods (not good when trying to lose weight!)
My problem now is......no one knows what to do about it lol my diabetic nurse has no ideas (I have tried medication but it didn't help) I want to lose another 2/3 stone as my BMI is 30 (was 53) but having to eat carbs constantly (filling my already uber tight pouch meaning protein is limited!) my weight loss stalled at 16 months post op and never ever went lower (never gained tho either... phew!) So am I stuck at this weight or is there a way around it?? I cannot exercise as I have a 35x35cm incisional hernia (yes its the size of an adult head!!!) and I have fibromyalgia which limits me too.
Anybody with any ideas????
