day 3 omg!

I sure can, are you ready, more milk lol

2 pints of milk a day and a main meal of 400 cals and 2 snacks of 200 cal a day.

This may vary slightly depending on our sizes, but at least you do get to eat proper food, you will probably be told to do this for two weeks, but basically I am now doing it until I get put on the pre op diet which again is milk only lol

Hi All

Im at L&D and am currently on the milk diet losing my 5% to get my appointment with the surgeon,i started on May 3rd and have already lost 24lb so i have already reached over my 5% but have been cycling miles everyday (sore bottom),Yes the milk diet is really hard and soooo boring but just look towards your goal and watch the weight coming off, i have good and bad days but it does pass.

cancerian02 - I was told that the re feed diet was 2 pints of milk, 2 snacks (200 cals) and a 400 cal meal.........which sounds bliss after this diet.

lol, well im definately losing the weight then, as i cant stop peeing.

yes perky princess, i do have the sf crusha, i just wish there was more variety ie, yoghurts, fruit or maybe a different flavoured crusha apart from strawberry. im at the early stages of this programme. after 5 weeks i go onto the refeed diet for 4 weeks, which im not too sure of what that entails (any ideas l&ders), then 2 weeks on the milk diet again.

hi jacqui, hooray your suffering with me then! you are doing so well. 24lbs good going! at least you can get on a bike and get some exercise. i go back to work, si i suppose i got over the worst (weekend). good luck with your appointment. i miss you too as im due 16th june. let me know how you get on with your refeed diet.

butterfly1979 you wouldnt want to know! lol what hospital are you at?

Hiya,

Yes,lol we are suffering together. Im ashamed to say it took me a week to get on the milk diet, then i just woke up one morning and thought right thats it lets go for it,lol, i went bike crazy as i felt behind and wanted to catch up on the week i had lost.

Its a shame we all miss each other
but i will let you know how the re feed diet is, sounds we are only a few weeks apart, hopefully all our paths will cross eventually.

not too sure where iver is. i havent heard of it.
im in milton keynes. do you mind me asking your weight and what surgery you are hoping for?
what was your experiance with l & d? sorry all these questions. i think it's because we are very close in dates.
enjoy your bike ride

Hi Again

Im still a little unsure of what surgery ? when i spoke to the dr he highly recommended the bypass although said it was my choice, i actually went having my mind set on the band but after chatting to the dr and nurses was really put off it.

To be honest i had this in mind due to it being the less complicated op im a big scarey cat you see and a big worrier, but after coming home i know in my heart the bypass makes perfect sense but it does scare me a little if im honest.

When i asked the dr about the sleeve he said that they didnt really have a lot of info as it was a newer op, which means basically there hasnt been so much feedback. But seeing people on here who have had it they seem to be doing great so im keeping an open mind until the appointment with the surgeon,i have so many questions bet hes going to love me,lol.

So far at L&D eveything for me has been aok, everyone so far has been great.

When i started my milk diet i was 24st 1lb and today i was 22st 3lb, the above is my heaviest weight.

Yes its nice having dates so close together we can compare notes, lol.

hi jacqui, now this is spooky! as i weighed in at 24stone and a 1lb but i am only 5'2.
ive decided that i want to go for the sleeve. im happy with how the procedure works, it is relatively new, but i cant get my head around the bypass it just seems too complicated. the drs said the bypass will suit me too. maybe it depends on how much weight you have to shift.
the nurse said on the sleeve, i could lose 50/60% of body weight. so going to a weight of 12 to 10 stone, is probably realistic for me.
my scales dont notice my weight. it's very old, so not too sure how much i have loss.
how are you doing for toileting issues? let me know

Morning (soz i dont even know your name)

Toileting........What toileting, lol. Ive been really bad on toileting only been twice and that wasnt much, quite constipated......too much info ?,lol

It is spooky isnt it weighing exactly the same,I think the sleeve seems a happy medium and i like the fact that you dont get the malnutrition issues, although i know L&D seem to favour the bypass, the dr told me about 90% of their paitents have this, But am still keeping an open mind until i speak to the surgeon, which hopefully wont be to long now ?

Hope you have a good day, just think we have all that yummy milk to look forward too....errr yuck.
