Hiya can some of you please give me a rough daily menu of what you ate after you had your band fitted, i know its only liquids i had some soup yesterday, but wondere as to what else there was avaliable????:p

hey there im about 6 weeks post band now, found the 4 weeks a struggle, i had smoothies bought frozen berries orange juice a bit of ice cream or frozen yogurt and mushed them in a blender. Had yops and yogurts by end of 2nd week i was having small bit of mash potato mixed through soup cos i couldnt stick it anymore. Hope that helps and best of luck!!!:)

week 1 liquids soups , low fat custard , yogurts, mousses,

week 2 mashed potatoe scrambled egg mashed banana

week 3 anything that wasnt to hard

week 4 normal

my post op is as follows - 2-3 weeks liquids then 2 weeks Purees then 2 weeks soft foods...im looking at the following and have shopped and pre-shopped (on-line for delivery in the next few weeks lol)

Liquids (I am to make these thicker in the 3rd week, add thicker soups etc)
  • Soups (strained or clear)
  • smoothies
  • Slimfast shakes
  • Protein shakes
  • tea n coffee
  • custard
  • mousses
  • yoghurt's
Purees (including above list and adding)
  • thicker soups
  • stewed apples/pears etc
  • custard
  • rice pudding
  • Scrambled eggs
  • tuna mayo
  • sloppy mash
  • creamed corn (makes yummy Chinese soup)
  • mashed banana (in custard:p )
Soft foods (All of above and adding)
  • Mince and mash
  • fish pie (mash not pastry)
  • poached eggs
  • poached fish
  • casseroles (meat cut tiny)
  • stews (meat cut tiny)
  • cod in sauce
  • fish soups
Its going to be hard I know but not as hard as trying to by a nice looking swimsuit !!!!!:cry:

and hopefully the results will be good as after the soft stage I will be on holiday in Cyprus for 8 days then home to my first fill....when its back to the soft stuff and purees again I guess:D

Any other food suggestions very gratefully received:eek:

My post op was as follows:-

Days 1-3, liquids only
Days 3-7, soft foods only
From Day 7, reintroduce normal foods slowly.

mine was similar to yours caz, but all surgeons have different rules.

iv always wondered why things vary so much its same as having fills some are told to stay on liquids for days after bugger that lol im back to normal next day was told it best not prolong liquid stage after op as stomach gets to used to it and it harder then to move on weather this true i dont know

It is strange isnt it.....like the range of pre-op there are...i guess post ops the same too
