Endoscopy

Does everyone have to have an endoscopy? If not, what criteria decides whether you have one or not?
Really scared of this .....

I didnt have one, so it must be different for every PCT x

I didn't have one either; I agree with dotty chic, probably depends on your personal medical circumstances & your PCT. Not the most pleasant of things but typically it's under sedation anyway so it is quite bearable xxx

It depends on what you need the endoscopy for. I had to have an endoscopy twice as I had a stenosis which needed stretching. But not everyone needs one.

I had a sedation both times for the endoscopy but it was still an unpleasant proceedure.

It isn't the nicest of procedures I have had x10 of them, but i found that if you had the throat spray and sedative it really does help you get through...... All the best.......
