Endoscopy !!!!

Update on my horrible nightmare lol... endoscopy seems that they cant fit me in at Luton to have one yey!!!! no appointments before the 12th July & locally they cant either..... will I get away with this ???????????? or Mr Barecca may well do it himself.......hope not fingers crossed, mind you If its for the best then I suppose I ought to have it... so many thoughts going through my head... 1 month to go

I had mine 4 weeks b4 op...in all honesty for me that was the worst part of the whole pre op..op and post.op experience for me..im such a wimp lol

Who had to have one of these, I notice a few on here has mentioned endoscopy before op, do everyone have one?

At huddersfied its compulsary to make sure everythings ok in your tum.
it was awful i only had a throat numbing spray (by choice)and i just kept gagging and being sick.
i'm glad i had it though because they did find a bug in my tummy which i didnt know i had and it could have got worse over time so i'm really chuffed they found it.just rememeber if you have one it is unpleasant but its done and dusted in 5 mins good luck xxx

Yes I had sedation wasnt a lot of good but like you say its 5 minutes of yuk! but least you know everything is ok for surgery.

Jolly what hospital are you at.? I was at Luton and Dunstable and didn't have either of thosevproceedures!!!!

Luton, and I know that some people dont have it but my consultant insists on them being done beforehand to avoid situations so I was told. Mr Jain doesnt seem to want these done. LUCKY YOU they are not the nicest procedure.

change consultants!! Mt Jain was lovely and I am so pleased I chose him !!!

They asked who I wanted so I said whoever could get me in the quickest. That was Mr Barecca. done now so dont matter. x
