Magic my lab and I day before surgery. 17.6, one bloomin lb off two stones lost since New Year's Day 14. Size 20 jeggins.
Wonder where ill be on the scale in a months time?
Doing my ablutions now, packed n ready to sail to Luton in the early hours tomo.

Had a text from wenny, she's settled into hospital and all is well. Had a good scoff of a tea!!!!! Had a pig of a time getting canula in, and bruised 
but settles n ready for tomo. It's wierd out of three of us tomo, two are in now in n I'm still at home. Don't think its really sunk in as I'm still here

ewwwwwwwwww put your own canula in my gosh your are a brave cookie they are horrid things. They couldn;t get one in me to start with but when i woke i had 2 in !!!

No wenny had a rough time, took two drs to do it lol

That's exactly what happened to me!! Took them ages to get one in then I had 2 in when I woke up! (I didn't notice till the day after though lol) x

I had an all lady team in theater till i went to sleep and they did there best to keep me calm and kindly gave me a pink one to match my slippers and dressing gown lol they struggled but got in finally bult like i said had extra when i woke up lol dont understand how it hurts right up your arm lol send wendy our best x x x

On morphine n had surgery for four hours. Been awake entire Night on high dependency unit on monitor as heart developed an ectopic beat n had cardiology on call out. Been noisy as monitor keeps going off n they kept light on me. In a little pain but not too bad. Had electronic things on my legs all night too to prevent dvt. Unlikely to sent home today. Awaiting blood results on potassium levels. Only just got phone as been in bag . Xx

Hi ali i hope your ops went Well they kept me waiting till eleven an woke with lot pain had had rough few hours can not keep any thing down but feeling lot better now my pain is mainly in my back between shoulder blades hope you ok been thinking of you hugs x x twinny x x

Hey Ali. Yes it's definitely been a quieter forum whilst you were sedated !!! Welcome to the losers bench. You've done this before so know the drill.... Lots of rest but in between get up and moving ( knee allowing). Ask for some earplugs to drown out those noisy obs machines!!!

Just home feeling fragile. There was a slight hiccup and ended up being in theatre longer than expected as, as you will all know they blow your abdomen up with air for more space to do the keyhole well apparently when they're finished they put a tube down your gullet to decompress your abdomen but somehow they mixed the tubes up and didn't realise it was in my stomach and they stappled it into my stomach so the then had to make a hole at the other side of my stomach to release the tube so ended up with both sides of my stomach stitched/stappled. Surgeon said once they were finished all looked ok so I'm just relieved there was no damage done. Struggling with the protein shakes at the moment but just focusing on keeping hydrated until I'm a bit comfier. Hope Ali and wennys surgery went to plan and anyone else who has been in xxx
