Llora, my legs still touch, but don't rub :)

Llora as a kid my mum would make my trousers with a removable panel so that she could replace that piece when my legs would inevitably rub the fabric thin and into holes ...majorly embarrassing because more often than not it would be a totally different colour to the rest of the trouser

Meant to add that I can now see daylight through the top of my thighs now and I don't get that swish swish sound any more :) ....bliss

Oh yes!! i had plenty of the trousers 'fixed' in a similar way after rubbing through the fabric (cuting and sewing different fabric panels)!

Me too re trouser fabric replacement! Cringe! And yes Frankie I too can see daylight ... And my saggy butt cheeks hanging down ...

I don't think I will be far behind you lilac lol

Another reflection on life before and after my bypass (a year on Wednesday) ... Although
I feel great and confident as a size 10/12 and love buying new clothes, I still have not registered the fact that when I find something I do not have to buy in bulk for fear that
I will never find something as nice and flattering to my size 24 body ... Obviously now I can now really buy anything from anywhere for any occasion but I still have not accepted that about me. Showing the head takes so much longer to change than the body. Once a fat person, always a fat person ... nighty night nights y'all xxx

So true lilac and it's comforting to know that you are experiencing this too. Will we ever lose the fat person persona I wonder... It truly hope so.

Lilacglitter you look FANTASTIC. Its such an inspiration . Im hoping I will get to a 10 again . Would love to see your before pics too.

Our mothers have a lot to be held responsible for ... Trouser inner thigh patching, bell-tents with plenty of room for 'growth'. Mine even made my school knickers ... They were bottle green flannelette ... And in the wash they'd go to cardboard - man, the chaffing!

Yep mine too lilac ...even our swim costumes!!
I love my mum to bits but I was never so happy when I started earning and therefore able to go buy my clothes! I even made my own but to my specs lol
