So you should be. I'm still early on in my journey, I'm in the system though and my next appointment is on the 21st November when I need to have lost my target weight ( 1 stone 5lbs ) xx

You'll be fine hunni ... November is not far away but long enough to shed those lbs. Keep your protein high and carbs low - or whatever works best for you. Show them you mean business and can commit. Congrats on getting into that system - that is a major step of the journey in itself!! I was sent packing as I was too 'healthy' for the system and no argument about how I wanted to keep things that way got me anywhere. I am truly excited for you. Fingers crossed that this time next year ... xxx

Congratulations - you look wonderful

I'm doing fine thank you :). I Not sure how much I have lost yet - but my clothes are getting looser and I now have a collar bone, shoulder bones and skinny feet lol. I will see how much I have lost next week.

That's great! And well done for not leaping on the scales three times a day ... How we feel in our clothes is probably the most important to focus on, even if the meds look for kgs and BMIs. The fact that you feel slimmer is all that matters - and makes every second on those bland fluids so worth it. Bet you have lost loads and loads!! xx

my goodness that is a fantastic transformation wd you :) thanks for posting your pics............. its lovely to see the fantastic results wd again x x x

Simply beautiful lilac and you look nothing like your comparison photo now. You must be and should be so proud of your achievement hun

Thanks Curls. Truly excited for you - not long to wait then ... Good luck. Let us know how you do. Have you started the Liver shrinking yet? x
I start it the 11th September ,getting very close .op done on the 25th ,don't think the LSD will be too hard for me as not on milk diet.

I'm wondering if I can get Greek fat free yoghurt , as I was suggested to eat irish diet yoghurts but these are far too sweet for me. Suggestions on yoghurts please.thank you.

I was only allowed the Muller Lights (four a day and four WW soups, plus 500ml of semi-skimmed for a month!). There was an option of the Sainsbury's 'healthy' own brand, whatever that range is called - Count Yourself Lucky, Be Good to Yourself or some such. The Total plain is is nearly 0% sugar. There really aren't any others that tick the no sugar boxes I can think of.

I'm allowed 50g of chicken or fish , veggies, but no root veg, two portion of fruit, eggs, 2crisp breads, sf squash and fat free yoghurts, so I I check the sugar on yoghurts you reckon it could be ok?as long as they are fat free
.

Not fat free, no. Lots are high in sugar - example Activia 0% is about 16%! Shocking. Your provider should be able to specify exactly what is Ok?

4am. Due to howling tooth-ache keeping me awake I am forced to visit the stash of painkillers I was given on discharge after my bypass a year ago and which (at that time and until now) I have not needed to take.

There has been discussion on this forum about which type of painkillers us bypassers can now take due to our resulting malabsorption situation which makes Ibuprofen (for example) a forbidden. So I thought it would be useful to share here what Mr Fiennes prescribed for me on discharge from hospital and are therefore OK to take now, a year post-op. Call me biased but as one of the best and most experienced bariatric surgeons in the world I trust him completely.

Both are dispersible soluble tablets i.e. you drop them into a small glass of water, stir until dissolved and glug down:

Voltarol 50mg. One every eight hours.
Paracetamol 500mg. One or two up to four times a day.

I hope this is useful information - and in the time it has taken to type this, the Voltarol has kicked in and the tooth-ache has gone. Time to zzzzzzzzz

xxx
