Fit and fantastic!
It had to be done ... I've felt the fear and done it anyway - got on the scales. OK, there is swelling so soon post-op therefore fluid adding to the weight of my new chest. I am back to 147lbs - so have added half a stone which puts me back up into the 'overweight' section of the BMI chart. Being 'normal' for a little while was great, and at least I knew I had acheived the Holy Grail of WLS ... And the extra I have put back on is due to two Silicone implants equal to an E cup. Even if the medics might not see it quite that way. Feeling philosophical!
Just popping back in to edit: as far as I am concerned I will always be 7lbs less than the scales tell me. So 147lbs is still 140lbs (10 stone, dead on). I guess I am happy with that ... You know ... What can you do ... Small thing in the huge picture that is a WLS journey to halve an entire being's body mass - I feel proud of that. It's how I feel in my body and head. I shouldn't worry what the scales say, and just take notice of what the mirror and wardrobe tell me.
