it took months for my funding to be agreed.

There were several things which slowed it down, I think it was that I do not live in the PCT area where my GP is based. I moved away 10 years ago but kept the same GP as she knows me so well I did not want to change.

I think they questioned which PCT should fund my surgery, although as I was not discharged from my GP when I moved they had to honour the fact that my health care was provoded by them.

They also found someone with the same name as me living in a different pct which seemed to add to the confusion
