Gastric Sleeve 20/01/2014

Hi! I'm Jenna, 31, married, living in Northants with two cats and a dog. I'm booked to have a sleeve done on the 20th, so I've started my pre-op diet. Just wanting to meet a few people to try and build a network as I don't have any friends nor family (other than my husband and his parents) so I'm hoping some of you may want to reach out and share your stories. Any tips are appreciated!

Not finding it that great if I'm honest. I've been doing the pre-op for about a week now and I've gained 7 lbs. I'm doing the 'liver shrinking' diet so I'm hoping that it's still doing that even though I've gained.
Where are you having yours done?

Shrewsbury Royal for me. Just finishing day 2 of the dreaded milk diet. Not been too bad to be fair. Mildy hungry, mildly headachey but mostly just bored of milk lol. Urgh 13 more days (I started a day early....whyyyyyy??) I need you guys to keep me sane x

I started mine about 4 days early 'cause I wanted to try losing as much as possible beforehand... Ooops. lol

Hi! I've tried to find that thread, but not having any luck. I haven't really had a chance to investigate this site yet... I keep getting taken back to the page that tells me what I'm restricted from until I post more. :/

I replied to you yesterday, but it didn't post it. I've sent you a friend request though... do you know when you might get your date? I have my pre-op appointment this morning... bit nervous.

Hey again, the messaging system may not work for you yet as you haven't posted 50 posts yet!

I spoke to the waiting list secretary on Monday and she said that due to some mess up in November, waiting lists are currently 6 months not 18 weeks! But also that every 4th person or so won't have stuck to their pre-op or gained weight or the date they've been given isn't convenient in which case I may get a date in March. Otherwise it's mid May for me! Your pre-op will be fine, do not worry! Then if you've not got a date already, they should give you one soon! Wouldn't be pre-op if the op is more than 4 weeks away!

My procedure is on Monday (20th)! I'm excited and nervous... last day of work tomorrow. Here's awkwardly hoping that lots of people don't follow their plans so you get a sooner date!
