Hello everyone

New here. Due to see my consultant for the first time later this afternoon. Quite nervous about the whole thing, but anything for a better quality of life in the long run.
Today I weigh 349.0 lbs. Lost a little weight in recent weeks, but not enough I fear. We shall see later.
Wish you all success and luck in your goals. Just to maybe get through a day without someone staring would be nice. Onwards.:)

Good luck with your appointment and the rest of your "journey". It's wonderful honestly it is x

A bit more about me. I've been on Lingratitude (sp?) injections, which do supress the appitite, but had an adverse side effect was crippling back pain. Has anyone else experienced this? I was forced to stop taking the injections and now about a week and a half later the pain is just about gone. Not a good start.

Thanks Blob, same with you. Make this day the start of things new. Even though I'm quacking in anticipation.

I had my op on 9th November last year and have lost 7 stones since then and a total of 9 stones. It really is life changing. I can see now that I will have a happier and longer life.

I've been really lucky and had no real problems, but I've stuck to what my team has told me.

It will be a scary but exciting journey - enjoy x

Wow Jeany, almost a stone a month. That's excellent and encouraging news. My eldest brother had the sleeve done approx 3 yrs ago and he's lost approx 10 stone in total. Evened out after a while, but he's still got some more to go. If I were to loos about the same amount of weight as yourself by this time next year, I'd be quite content with that.

If I can do it anyone can - I have been on diets for the last thirty odd years and lost and gained more times than I can remember. I honestly believe that I will get to a normal weight and not pile it back on!

I truly hope you are as well as I have been after my bypass. X

First consultation done and all explained. Took 2 hrs in a group session. Diets/ aftercare all explained in detail. Got 9 kg to loose before the next step.

Some hard work ahead.:flirt2:

Sounds good. A goal to work towards and will be well worth the work you have to put in.

Keep us updated with your progress x

Good luck. I am 7 days post op and doing ok. Keep us informed of your progress.

Buying a punchbag and going to work out some pent up aggression whilst shedding some pounds. It's a start.

Ha ha good move. A punch for everyone that's ever been nasty throughout the years or perhaps that's negative. A punch for every wonderful moment you'll have when the weight starts to come off.

Yes positive thoughts

Happy punching x
