Hello everyone

Thanks everyone, some really nice welcomes. :) Sending out every good luck and positive vibes I can to all of you out there who are/ have been in the same boat.

I was thinking of one last Chinese takeaway tomorrow night, but thought better of it. Got to shed the bad habits as well as the pounds. So looks like a ham salad instead...yummy...

Update.

Saw the dietician toaday at North Tees, weight loos progress is very good. Just have another 3.5 kg to lose [at least] for my next appointment in a months time with Mr Roal and then it's onto the next stage.
Things are moving fast :)

Well done Joe keep going, you will get there.
Take care Toby

Cheers folks. Further update, work pattern is changing early Nov so can't make the proposed appointment. Instead I now have 6 weeks to lose the weight. Was told by the dietician's yesterday I've been trying too hard to lose weight, as I woke up yesterday with a hypo - my blood sugars were too low. Not a nice feeling, but one to watch for in the future.
Punchbag is now hanging up outside, got some bag mitts, told not to go beserk on it, just steady jabs etc and out of breath and that will be sufficiant. It'll come in handy if I get a bad day at work and some toff gives me that look...

Today I've now shedded off that excess 3.5 kg and I'm now at the ideal body weight for the operation. :) Thing is, I've another 5 weeks to go before I see my specialist, so the target is to shave off a few more as I go. As long as I don't go above my (now) weight, I should be OK. In all I've lost 20lbs since referal.
Happy chappy, but no celebration munching.

welcome :)xx

Hiya Joe, thanks for posting on my thread! Well done on the weight loss so far, look forward to reading about your journey xx :)

Hi good luck with your WLS journey. I'm a sleever & lost 81/2 in less than 7 months. I couldn't hardly walk pre op now even jogging on a regular basis. It has revolutionised my life. Having a few problems with eating & now have to have a dilation but no regrets. Loving my sleeve & new life.

Hi joe and welcome :)

Hi all and thanks for all the kind comments. Today I had the Gastroscopy done. Not nice, but needs to be done and they were all good with me. Trick is to relax and breathe...

On the 18th December I'm due to see Mr Rao for the review. I'm now clamping down on a more strickter diet as I hope to shed at least another 2kg by then. Upping the activity with brisk walking daily. My goal is to be given an op date confirmation for next month. Then the liver diet kicks in and with luck and wind in the right direction - the start of the rest of my life. *emotional*
