Well done Maria, which area do you live inThanks sweetie. I got on really well. According to them I have lost 22 lbs since I went in August and the dietician asked me if I still want weight loss surgery. Of course I do. I explained once I get going I can lose weight but keeping it off is my downfall every time. He said I have lost 9% body weight and they ask you to lose 5%. I have to go back in 6 weeks and if all good they will refer me to MDT. they are getting an extra new surgeon and going to do group MDT with several patients at one go to try and speed things up. I am excited but scared too xx

That's just fantastic news Maria and another 1.5kg is great, I'm so pleased for you, it's all moving in the right direction, excellent just brilliant, when is your next appointment with the doctor and any timescale on the following visit with MDT team also, sorry so many questions, any clue as to how long you'll be on the list and when surgery could be and Did the dietician try to sway you away from surgery at all ? Gosh so sorry "20 questions" It so lovely reading your post the happiness in your words shines through, you can 100% do this, look at you stats you've already done incredibly well and finally XxXUpdate from me. Been to Luton Hospital today. Saw a lovely dietician. Lost a very small amount on refeed diet of 1.5 kg but so happy to have lost anything. Now being referred to tier 4 and will meet a doctor at next visit before meeting MDT team visit after that ..... and then hopefully go on waiting list for surgery. Thanks everyone for your support especially Bling Babe xx

Hi Babe they are sending me my next appointment in the post so no date yet. Next visit is doctor and I have to have an ECG and an echocardiogram. Don't know the timescale to see MDT but the dietician said about 6 to 9 months is normal for waiting list for operation. She was really lovely and did not try to talk me out of surgery at all. It's strange how every hospital is different, we don't see anyone like that until further on, I hope you milk diet doesn't fall over Christmas though..... all very interesting I'll be looking forward to reading your updates XxI had first appointment on 19 see and saw psychologist dietitian and physician, next appointment with dietitian in October was cancelled as he was sick, I see dietitian again next Monday, I've just about met 5% target, I see physio on 30th Jan ( I'm away from 3rd to 26th Jan )
I'm so seeing if he will put me on LRD between now and when I go away. it'll be interesting to see.
Physician said if I met 5% by March and kept all my appointments then I could be referred for surgery at my March appointment.
